4-Axis Bipolar driver.

The heart of the system are the 4 IMS Bipolar micro-step drivers. They are mounted 2 per aluminum back-plate and stacked into the case.

The SCSI enclosure that I picked up for $4 sure was a perfect fit. It has a 5/12v supply, a fan, and indicator lights all ready to go. You can see my joystick interface card installed here and wired to the IMS drives.

I still have to cut the back panel for the Centronics plug and the DIN connectors for the motors.

Sure was a wiring mess. It did go together fairly well though. I tested it with one motor and the joystick and it worked perfectly! The pot on the front panel controls the step rate for the joystick.
